Join us for the WPATH GEI Online Trauma-Informed Care Workshop, a comprehensive and interactive learning experience designed for medical professionals who work with transgender and gender diverse (TGD) individuals.
This workshop will explore the definitions of trauma and trauma-informed care, as well as the core principles of trauma-informed practice. The curriculum is designed to help healthcare professionals adopt a multi-disciplinary, trauma-informed lens when working with TGD individuals, while also integrating a holistic approach to healthcare that acknowledges the impact of past and present trauma on an individual’s well-being.
Workshop Objectives:
- Understand the impact of trauma in the context of transgender and gender diverse healthcare
- Apply a trauma-informed lens to multi-disciplinary clinical settings
- Promote culturally competent, inclusive, and affirming care for TGD individuals
