WPATH GEI Online Foundations Course – February/March 2025

Dear WPATH Community:

WPATH is excited to announce that registration is now open for our next WPATH GEI Online Foundations Course, being offered in the new year 2025!

The WPATH GEI Online Foundations Course includes the following components:

  • Pre-Recorded Didactic Sessions, which attendees can watch starting February 1st . Attendees should watch all recorded presentations in preparation for the live panels.
  • Two 2-hour Live Streamed Case Discussion Panels, which attendees will select and attend between February 28 – March 7, 2025
  • One 2-hour Live Q&A Panel, which attendees will select and attend March 10 or March 14, 2025.

What to Expect:

Registered attendees will receive the link to access the GEI Foundations Course Platform and begin viewing the Pre-Recorded Didactic Sessions on-demand on February 1st, you will receive the link directly through the meeting platform.

The course is set up so that you have time to watch the recorded sessions in advance of attending the live panels, and we encourage you to do so, so that you are well prepared for those interactive sessions.

After you have registered and paid, you will receive a confirmation email, which will include the link to RSVP for your selected Live Case Discussion Panels and Live Q&A Panel. Please note that you must select and attend two 2-hour Live Streamed Case Discussion panels, and one 2-hour Live Q&A Panel, to complete and receive full credit for the GEI Foundations Course.

All materials for the GEI Foundations Course, including Faculty Bios, Handouts, PDF copy of the SOCv8. The content available online after the live event is for viewing only, and will not be accredited, will be available through the Course Platform. As an attendee benefit, you will have access to the Course Platform and all Foundations Course content through May 15, 2025.

This course fulfills the Foundations requirement for members pursuing WPATH GEI Certification.

GEI Foundations Course Live Streamed Case Discussion Panels*

All Case Discussion Panels are designed to be multidisciplinary and involve 3-6 case presentations and Q&A (via chat functionality). Attendees will send their questions via chat and the moderators will relay them to the panel. Attendees, Panelists, and Moderators will receive the cases being discussed prior to the session. Great news for our European online attendees regarding CME’s!

The American Medical Association has determined that physicians not licensed in the US who participate in this CME activity are eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

ACCME / AMA PRA Category 1 Credits carry reciprocity with EACCME member countries and most international licensing bodies for physicians, with some exceptions. Physicians should check with their country/board for eligibility.

The UEMS-EACCME and the AMA has a signed agreement of mutual recognition of CME credits between Europe and USA for live and e-learning activities. A list of active agreements can be found here https://eaccme.uems.eu/Agreements.aspx.
