This dynamic and evolving workshop explores the complex ethical considerations that arise in clinical practice and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Participants will engage in robust discussions on ethical theory and moral principles as they relate to real-world scenarios, including:

  • Ethics in gender-affirming surgeries and perioperative care
  • Informed consent and decision-making across the lifespan
  • Navigating interdisciplinary care and professional boundaries
  • Addressing ethical dilemmas and barriers to access
  • Anticipating and managing moral distress in affirming care

The workshop features interdisciplinary panels and interactive case-based discussions, encouraging participants to critically examine their own practice and values while learning from diverse perspectives. This advanced-level training is grounded in the WPATH Standards of Care, Version 8, and is intended to foster ethical clarity, cultural humility, and compassionate care in complex clinical situations.
