The World Professional Association for Transgender Health is pleased to be holding its bi-ennial symposium in Atlanta, Georgia on September 24-28, 2011.
The educational and scientific programs will be held at the luxurious Emory Conference Center hotel which has available for its guests a fitness center, spa and restaurants.
Collaboration / Events
Notable events happening during this meeting include a joint reception and workshop with Southern Comfort Conference and the Gay & Lesbian Medical Association, who will be holding their respective meetings during the same weekend. Several respected key note speakers will be addressing the WPATH membership during the welcome reception (details to be released soon). Several highly informative educational programs will be held during this meeting including a pre-conference activity (a CME program) on September 24, 2011 to update novice through expert healthcare providers of transgender and transexual health on various topics on medical, social and psychological treatment of transgender individuals and a surgical summit meeting for expert surgeons around the world.
The scientific meeting will start on September 25 with sessions focused on endocrinology, psychology, social work and surgical treatment.
The Gala night will be held at the famous Fernbank Museum of Natural History located less than 1 mile from the conference site.
